CodeClan has just announced a new funding opportunity available for Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire applicants who wish to train in software development.

Fully-funded places are now available for CodeClan’s upcoming remote course in Software Development – North East, starting in January 2022.

The 12-week career changers’ course will provide industry-led training for a new generation of software and web developers.

The funded training will help to create high-value jobs in the North East and ensure businesses have access to skilled people to help innovate and improve their competitiveness, with software development skills such as JavaScript, Python and SQL. Students will have the opportunity to gain a Professional Development Award in Software Development, SQA level 8.

Ceri Shaw, Chief Delivery Officer at CodeClan, said:

“Digital industries offer well-paid careers with long-term security. However, gaining those skills through traditional routes can be time-consuming and costly and we understand that. This is an important step closer to making digital skills available to everyone and increasing access to digital careers.”
