Minecraft Legends, the unique action-strategy variant of Microsoft’s building blocks franchise, will hit Xbox consoles and PCs on April 18.

Announced last June, the game looks like a modern version of the classic Warcraft strategy: the goal is to defend the player’s personal base and destroy all enemies. As you might expect, Inrata will feature a cooperative online campaign and competitive multiplayer. And judging by the latest trailer, it looks compelling enough to tempt gamers who never could figure out what to do in the original Minecraft.

Minecraft Legends is a bold new direction for the series that takes all the blocks, mobs, diamond swords, and other things you know from the classic survival game and turns them into a full-fledged strategic action game – and thanks to a new presentation at Developer_Direct, we now know that it’ll arrive for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Cloud and more on April 18, 2023 (and will be part of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one).

During Developer_Direct, several members of the team working on the game at Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive spoke to fill the audience in on what’s to come, including PvP gameplay details.

Deluxe edition and skin pack
When the game is released, you’ll be able to get your hands on two versions of Minecraft Legends – a standard edition and a deluxe edition that includes the base game and the deluxe skins pack at a discounted price. You can read all about the extra benefits you get through the Deluxe Edition right now on Minecraft.net.

Pre-orders for Minecraft Legends are now open, allowing you to prepare to save the Overworld well before April 18. And if you want to learn more about the game, keep an eye on Xbox Wire.
