The company announced in a blog post that this 100-year plan is the perfect choice for people who want to keep what they’ve created online for many more years, as well as for founders who can document their company’s journey and progress.

However, to get this plan, you have to pay a one-time amount of $38,000. In return, WordPress will provide a 100-year domain registration, automatic backups to multiple servers and even the Internet archive, advanced ownership and hosting tools, and round-the-clock support.

“Whether it’s giving a newborn the special gift of a domain and lifetime home on the web, or something you put in your will to make sure your website and story are accessible to future generations, I hope this plan gets people and other companies thinking about building for the long term”, said Matt Mullenweg, WordPress CEO in a statement.

The WordPress post doesn’t mention how the domains and backups will be updated in line with the ever-changing internet landscape, or what will happen to the domains if the company decides to shut down the program for any reason.

The Kubernetes Kasten container backup product can be sold with Veeam Data Platform, but is not yet integrated into the VeeamOne console.

Veeam Backup & Replication provides real-time backup functionality, asynchronous replication to a secondary Disaster Recovery (DR) site, and lag-free recovery – in almost any scenario imaginable, such as across virtual machines or physical machines, on-premises or in the cloud, Windows, Linux or Mac, files or databases, etc.

Veeam Backup & Replication v12 claims 500 new functions. These include immutable copies, now extended to all hosted copies of backups, which means volumes in block, file and object mode as well as cloud-stored data in AWS and Azure. Another salient addition is the possibility to directly save backups to object storage without conversion.

VeeamOne also detects ransomware hidden in backups. The software offers rapid resolution to these kinds of problems. Finally, VeeamOne brings analytics to backup. The customer can define conditions that must be fulfilled for backups to conform to its requirements and to audit them.

The software doesn’t just restore to where the customer wants, it also tests the data, cleans it of any infection if necessary, then puts the servers needed to run the data back online.

A drop-and-hook driver can be in and out of a facility in less than an hour, whereas a live load takes 3 hours on average at both pickup and delivery locations.

Large trailer pools must be precisely matched with available drivers and tractors, against freight that will keep them fully utilized to control costs. As a result, traditional drop services are used almost exclusively for primary contract freight on lanes with consistent volume. However, shippers experience volatility in their supply chains every day. Seasonal storms and “Black Swan” events like the COVID-19 pandemic create additional unexpected surges in demand. These market dynamics force shippers to convert what would have been a drop shipment into a live load, driving up overhead costs, reducing operational efficiency, and increasing risk to service quality.
