Today (04/22/21) is National Earth Day. People all around the world gather to celebrate the Planet’s nature and public awareness is raised about pollution.

The theme of 2021 Earth Day is “Restore Our Earth“, the focus of which is on restoring the world’s ecosystems through environmental processes, emerging green technologies and innovative thinking.

Google has even created a Doodle that shows how we can all participate in saving our planet, pointing out that the Earth sustains us, so we should return the favour.

Through their leaves and their bark, trees help slow climate change and improve air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide, one of the major contributing elements to the greenhouse effect. They also help preserve soil and support wildlife.

Planting trees would help migrate climate change. The more trees we plant, the more atmospheric carbon will be reduced.
