C# takes the crown for language of the year 2023. This was revealed after TIOBE published a ranking of the most popular programming languages for the past year on the site. C# beat the competition among child competitors, and 2023 was definitely its year.
C# gained the most popularity in 2023 (+1.43%) according to TIOBE’s own scoring system, which takes into account which programming languages are most popular according to various major search engines.

One of the main reasons for its growing popularity is that it is an excellent tool for back-end web applications and for designing games, especially with the Unity game engine.
