Microsoft has released its first Patch Tuesday security update of 2026, addressing over 110 vulnerabilities.

The January patch cycle — covered by Qualys’ review and reports across multiple security outlets — includes fixes for numerous critical and important vulnerabilities across Windows, Office, and related Microsoft products. Notably, the update closes zero-day flaws, remote code execution risks, elevation-of-privilege bugs, and information disclosure issues, underscoring the continued importance of timely patching for enterprise and individual Windows systems alike. System administrators and users are encouraged to install these updates as soon as possible to mitigate active threats and reinforce defenses.
