Beauty giant L’Oréal announced plans to establish its first AI-powered global beauty tech innovation hub in Hyderabad, India, with an investment of approximately $383 million by 2030. The hub will focus on emerging technologies such as AI, generative and agentic AI, data science, and engineering to drive next-generation beauty solutions at scale, aiming to create around 2,000 advanced tech jobs including AI specialists, engineers, and data scientists. Officials from India and Telangana emphasised that the investment reinforces confidence in the region’s innovation ecosystem and aligns with broader government strategies for AI adoption and digital competitiveness.
