Activision Blizzard is about to be bought by Microsoft.

The gain is valued at approximately $68.7 billion or in other words – it was bought at $95 a share. This transaction turns out to be Microsoft’s biggest purchase. An announcement of a gaming and software developer says:

“Today, Microsoft Corp. announced plans to acquire Activision Blizzard Inc., a leader in game development and interactive entertainment content publisher. This acquisition will accelerate the growth in Microsoft’s gaming business across mobile, PC, console and cloud and will provide blocks for the metaverse.”

Phil Spencer, Microsoft Gaming CEO, explained that Bobby Kotick will remain as CEO of Activision Blizzard for now. Also, he added that Xbox will “offer as many Activision Blizzard games as we can within Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and games from their catalogue.”

The Game Pass already has “over 25 million subscribers” as it was said in the press release.

The deal is expected to be completed in 2023. However, Activision Blizzard will continue its work as usual until the acquisition is finalized.
