C++

C++ is the sixth programming language on GitHub’s list. It can create operating systems, games and even more and that’s why it is one of the most used languages which had seen an increase in ranking since last year.

Ruby

Ruby is a high-level programming language which emphasizes on productivity. One of its best features is the attractive syntax it possesses which makes it easy to read and write. This year it is placed at seventh place among the most used programming languages which are used by GitHub contributors.

PHP

PHP is one of the most frequently used scripting languages.The previous year it was ranked on the fourth place but now it has won the eight position. PHP is used to create static web pages and apps as well as dynamic websites.

C#

C# is a safe and an object-oriented programming language which derives from the C family of languages. In Stack Overflow Developers’s opinion the language is really popular and convenient to use. These days Microsoft released .NET 5.0 which is the latest major edition of its .NET development platform and it  includes a new version of the C# language, C# 9.

C

Last year C was ranked in eight place but now it is in tenth among GitHub’s list. It is an  extensively utilised programming language in various applications, including generating and building databases, creating compilers, and developing IoT apps.
