Recently, it has become a trend for almost every streaming service to increase their subscription fees every few months. Paramount Plus and HBO Max have already made this change, and Disney Plus and Hulu with Live TV will follow suit as early as next month when they plan to increase their service prices.
However, do not be in a hurry to be disappointed. It turns out that some of these services are currently offering promotions that can help you save money on a monthly or annual subscription. What’s more, some of them are available to both new and regular subscribers, which, let’s face it, is rare in the streaming realm. Disney Plus and ESPN Plus
Disney offers a three-month Hulu package with live TV for $49.99 per month. The contract is through Oct. 11 – a day before Hulu with Live TV jumps to $76.99 per month – and is open to new subscribers and those who haven’t subscribed to Hulu in the last month.
Hulu with Live TV gives you access to ad-supported Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, in addition to more than 90 live sports, news and entertainment channels. That means you can watch NFL games and stream shows like Futurama and Disney’s newest Star Wars show, Ahsoka. You can also record live shows with an unlimited DVR, as well as download content for offline viewing.
Disney Plus
For those of you who only want to subscribe to Disney Plus, new and eligible returning subscribers can get three months of Disney Plus (with ads) for $1.99 per month as long as they sign up before September 21. Considering that the plan with ads normally costs $7.99 per month, the current promotion amounts to an $18 savings, meaning you essentially get two months of service for free.
This plan will give you access to some of Disney Plus’ most popular names like “Ahsoka,” the upcoming season of “Loki,” “The Little Mermaid,” and the new season of “I Am Groot.” You’ll also be able to watch National Geographic and Pixar content, including the recently released movie Elemental.
Paramount Plus and Showtime
Paramount Plus offers 50 percent off one year of the ad-supported Paramount Plus Essential tier and the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan when you use promo code FALL.
Both plans provide access to Paramount Plus content such as Dungeons & Dragons, Top Gun: Maverick and shows from the Star Trek series such as Strange New Worlds. There are no commercials on Paramount Plus with Showtime, with the exception of live content.
