Maybe after all we are going to witness “DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon”. On Sunday Geometric Energy Corporation announced that DOGE-1 will be the first commercial lunar payload in history, paid entirely with DOGE. This is expected to happen in Q1 2022 and Elon Musk tweeted that Dogecoin will be the first meme in space and the first cryptocurrency in space.

So SpaceX are officially launching the DOGE-1 mission. The cryptocurrency increased a bit after the tweet however did not manage to exceed the dip caused by the SNL tumble. Of course this payment is a kind of publicity stunt and not a huge indicator for the price of the Dogecoin.
Musk said that if DOGE is just a ’meme’ and a ’hustle’ it could even go to the moon literally and metaphorically as well. It would not be rare, if the Twitter post has resulted in an increasing share price as we could have seen in the past. Elon Musks’ posts already made a meme into the world’s fourth-biggest cryptocurrency.
Dogecoin skyrocketed by more than 800% for just a month, reaching a total market value of over $70 billion. Anyway, Dogecoin dropped dramatically after Musk called it a “hustle” on his appearance on SNL last Saturday.
Musk also posted a tweet in which he asks his followers whether Tesla should accept the cryptocurrency as a payment or not. The post gained 20% for Dogecoin and helped to climb above $0.55.
