There is a strong possibility that the fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg will take place in Italy and will be themed Ancient Rome, BBC reports.

Italy’s culture minister said he had spoken to Musk about holding the clash as a charity event.

Millions of dollars are expected to be raised from the bout, with the amount to be donated to children’s hospitals.

Although Zuckerberg claims no date has been agreed so far, on social media platform X Musk detailed his vision and said he had spoken to Italy’s prime minister and culture minister.

“They have agreed on an epic location. Everything in the camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all”, he wrote.

The capital Rome, and its iconic Colosseum – where legendary Gladiator fights were held in ancient times – have been ruled out.

“We are thinking about how to organize a great charity and historical evocation event, respecting, and fully protecting the setting… It will not take place in Rome”, he said.

Italy’s Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano said the event would respect the country’s historical significance and preserve its cultural heritage.
