Fujitsu announced that it is about to establish an AI ethics and governance which is supposed to guarantee the safe and secure deployment of AI technologies.

The main reason for this action is the company’s intention “to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation”.

The “AI ethics and Governance Office” is expected to be established on February 1.

The company stated that this is one step forward to its efforts to “strengthen and enforce comprehensive, company-wide measures to achieve robust AI ethics and governance based on international best practices, policies and legal frameworks.

The new office is supposed to focus on applying some measures in order to promote ethics which are related to the research, development, and implementation of advanced technologies.
