Samsung is reportedly preparing its next foldable flagship to minimize the visible screen crease.

According to 9to5Google and corroborative reports from recent CES 2026 coverage, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could become the first Samsung foldable to make use of a new “crease-less” or significantly reduced crease interior display panel. This advance in foldable OLED technology would deliver a smoother, more uniform screen surface, a major improvement over past models where the fold crease remained noticeable during use. Industry sources say the technology may be ready for a 2026 launch, though broader adoption — especially at consumer-friendly price points — could still hinge on supply chain and cost considerations.
