We are currently expanding our Cyber Engineering team and we are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with Networking to join our Information Security Team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
As such you will be joining a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for various aspects of the cyber security. You will be one of the network security engineers working closely within the Cyber Security team but also with the other peers in the company like the IT teams, PMs, the business teams, etc. Your focus will be to ensure the continues management, operations and improvement of the network security systems and any relevant controls as well as assessing any demand from a network security perspective.
The role assumes responsibility over the network security segment of the cyber security team and enables continues interaction with the other various cyber security teams like SOC, Threat intelligence and Hunting, Architecture team, etc. It exposes the candidate to a different set of innovative security solutions and a good catalogue of technical and non-technical trainings in house or externally provided.
What to expect:
- Engage in cyber engineering activities at the infrastructure, application and configuration layers with various Cyber Defense peers to provision and maintain Cyber Security Systems that is used for the prevention, detection and response to Cyber events.
- Consult on or implement technical controls on a network security level
- Work with commercial or open-source products to conduct network security assessments
- Ensure constant monitoring of the network security devices, systems, services are in place as well as alerting to the proper teams
- Participate in the design and setup of the different KPIs of the various aspects of the network security
- Implement and ensure the maintenance of relevant PCI DSS technical controls
- Respond to tasking and direction as provided by the line manager
- Contribute or lead efforts related to expanding our portfolio of security controls
- Support the development of the SOC
To be successful you need to have:
- Fluent working English language
- At least 3 years of experience in Network Security
- Very good expertise across a variety of security products including IDS/IPS (NDR optional), VPN, Proxy, CASB, WAF, CDN, Bot Protection for WEB, API, SDK, NextGen Firewalls, DDoS protection etc.
- Previous exposure to Linux, Windows OS (MacOS is a plus)
- To be able to identify and flag potential vulnerability on a device, system or service
- Experience of working with systems from F5, Cisco, PaloAlto, etc.
- Be able to document the delivered work or a technical security system
- Incident and Change management
- Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment
- An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Team player with professional and positive attitude
Any of the below skills would be appreciated:
- Experience in the fintech business
- DDoS testing; Design and Network Security Architecture + Documentation; Administration of Tufin; Understanding PCI DSS, CIS, CSA, NIST etc.; Logs/SIEM, HSM and encryption, Scripting and automation, Cloud Security (AWS and Azure/O365).
- Security certification would be considered an advantage (e.g. Security+, GCIA, CCSP, C|ND, CASP etc.)
